Rallying Cup (Sultan only)

Hello everyone,

I've been thinking a few weeks ago to submit a rallying event.
It took me a while to propose it since I saw very little interest in rallying recently (no offense )

If this had to happen, it would happen on tracks "not-of-mine".
As a matter of fact, I already have a bunch of very good tracks that should do the trick and I'm not going to copy them, this would be pointless and unfair

The best suited car to do this is, in my opinion, the Sultan.
For those who don't know, this car cannot be bought: you have to steal it in the desert area, so it should really be a cheap event since I'm not asking you to buy a Zentorno or whatelse, just to upgrade a free car.

Contact or non contact features should be discussed.
Contact should be preferred, but at the same time, since this is rallying, there will be uncontrolled trajectories, lots of bumps, so I'm puzzled about that.

Just to let you know I'm not going to propose a playlist nor a concrete schedule right now.
Just say if you're interested in and if you have any ideas about contact/non-contact (I believe this should be contact on) or whatelse.

There's truly no hurry.
When I'll know there are - let's say - 10 people interested in, and once we'll have a short discussion together, I'll propose something concrete.

Last but not least, I'd like to add that I'm not going to propose a rallying cup which aims at climbing a mountain, or doing dozen of stunt jumps or sort of.

This is racing soft rallying.

I m interested in . Non contact is more realistic since in real Life its the ´best Time' who win. I would have prefer to race your créations by the way but i understand that it s a real Time consuming job to make good races .

True Frinke and I'm really not gifted at making tracks (I did 15s a few months ago and cancelled all of them). However, if you have tracks of your own proposals, they're very welcome. Let's see that later on however if you don't mind

That's a good idea. I think that non contact is better too. For 2 reasons :
1st: it's more realistic like frinke said.
2nd: On sand ways its almost not possible to pass somebody correctly.. cause there is bumps and uncontrolled trajectories. i always play rally races in non-contact for more confort. Like SeniorT said.

And if you want we can try 3 of my races (I think that 2 will be ok, for the 3rd you or the other player have to say if ok)
The name of the races are "Show your skill 2" " Show your Skill 5" and "Show your skill 8".

There is ps3 races cause i have the ps4 since only a few week

I'm in! I will always prefer contact since it's much more "interesting stuff" going on because of that, but it's all up to you.

It also depends on interest, if there will be max 10 people, contact shouldn't be a problem, but if more, then I think non-contact would be preferable.

Yep Senior i enjoyed too. For the moment i'm not driving as well as i want cause its not the same driving sensations as PS3 but it come slowly ^^'

I will invite you next time i see you so you can try these races. Maybe today after i finish working (I have to check if they are playable with sultan lol the 1st is ok but the 2 others i've to check ^^' and modify if not)

EDIT: I just check right now on the social-club and its ok sports is available on the 3 races. (and i accepted you as friend)

Well the news are the following.
According to this thread we're 5 interested in, namely:
- myself
- le__AK
- you Frinke
- Djoul-Bnc
- rzodkiew

We need more people to do that, and I believe we can do it since the crew is about 160 people now  
I'm not asking for 30 people, let's say 10 would be fine and would justify the set-up of such a little event (actually, we're no longer at the very early days of this crew when we were 20 people in and about 5 participating the events).

Also, as I said above, there's no hurry. First point to be addressed is "are there enough people interested in so that we do it?". Right now the answer is no  
I'll make a few advertisement online the following days when I'm on for those who didn't understand we do have a forum

I've never taken part in any sort of racing event before, so could someone inform me or link me to a page with the format to these events. Ie, things like qualifying and how race starts work. Could be much appreciated.

Maybe for the race, you could have set to two laps, everyone complete all the checkpoints on lap one, but not cross the finish line to start lap two, and then stagger people, so one person goes, ten seconds later, person two goes etc. Then as with real rallying to my knowledge, the finishing positions are based on fastest laps, which everyone would have an opportunity to get on lap two. Only issue I see with this is the 30 second count down, so you'd have to get the delay between people starting and finishing right, or have three laps, and only lap two counts, lap three is just so people don't DNF.

i have a couple of tracks [hidden as dunebuggy races] available for Sultan,kuruma,futo,etc. [1.dunebuggy race event. 2.hillbilly g.p.].
and am working on 2 others also.

Djoul, I'm unsure if you're talking to me? But if you were, it wouldn't be possible on point-to-point, as you'd have to measure the lap time ourselves, which is almost impossible to do accurately and fairly. Doing point-to-point would also start the timer. For example, if there are eleven people competing, when car six finishes, it'll be impossible for car numbers ten and eleven to reach the finish - should there be a ten second delay between cars starting.

One other thing I'd like to add, is for my idea to work fairly, you'd need some prop off to the side to mark where the car lines up before the start, so ensure people aren't getting longer run-ups to the start.

But this was just proposal and if we don't use those your idea is a good idea

salut senior je serait intéressé par cette event et pourquoi pas un de mes coéquipier de chez red bull aussi . en week end sa serait cool un samedi par exemple ...

ps: je suis désole je n'avait pas pris plus attention a cette event comme c'est en anglais ... :/ tu peux m'inscrire sur la liste des personne intéresser et puis je verrai avec mes coequipier (red) si il sont intéresser aussi


Senior hi I would be interested in this event and why not one of my teammate at Red Bull too. in his weekend would be cool Saturday for example ...
